The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has said it would participate in the local government elections slated for December 2017.
The party took the resolution at the State Executive meeting held on Tuesday.
A statement made available by the Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, advised the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission to be fair and transparent.
“We call on all members of our party particularly those interested in the chairmanship or councilorship position in local governments and wards to indicate their interest.
“We advise the Ekiti State Independent Electoral Commission to be fair and transparent in dealing with all registered political parties who will be participating in the election.
“Peoples Democratic Party-led government has failed Ekiti people and therefore our party will not sit back while the people suffer,” the statement added.
